Whitehead
Will was born in 1872 and he died in 1935 after a brief illness. Will was a hard worker, and a good farmer and businessman. He lost a considerable amount of his savings in the bank foreclosure
ordered by President Roosevelt when he took office in 1932.
A conservative estimate of about $20,000 was lost. Will married Mary Hoffman onJanuary 2, 1896 at Fort Hull. The marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. Whitehead
(according to a copy of the marriage certificate on file in Macon County Courthouse). Will and Mary had the following children: Herschell, Berry, Eloise, Jesse (Darby) and Rosa.
