Good Afternoon to ALL my WHEW family this 45th Annual  reunion: We are virtual for the last three reuinons but the family members such as Margo Jackson-Tavares, Brian Slay, LaShaundra Smith (Cornelius) and Nadrianne and others  really came together and did an excellent job. I miss you all.  This is the closing prayer on 6/26/22 noon: In giving honor to God and His presence in our lives. His grace, mercy and protection. We are His children and the 45th WHEW reunion is a great milestone. I know it was meant to be a constant reminder of our family here on earth, We ate so fortunate to have this technology. God has put in our family members the need to push Education. This has been our thread that binds us. God your grace has given us all things and we have business owners, educators and the like. This is because of you Our Father. Not us, God you compensates us all with talents. Thank You GOD almighty for all who took the helm to continue our wonderful legacy. May this pandemic be over real soon and during it allow us to get closer to you because of it. To all our loved ones who have transitioned- may they continue to be in our hearts and watch over the family.May our future be as bright as God's awesomeness. thank you God for all your love shown to us. In Jesus, the Christ name. Amen

Family, it saddens my heart that WE, as a family, have this portal to communicate our concerns without ridicule! I urge All to resurge your thoughts to ignite conversation. Nowadays, it’s important that we share our different thoughts so that “food-for-thought is shared”! Again, there is  TO MUCH happening around us to inadvertently walk into such darkness. A SILENT VOICE IS A FRIGHTFUL HEART! - Speak up cause I want to know!

It's so awesome to be able to go back and look at all the memories I've made since I was a toddler! This family has taught me so much about life and how to live it. I love you all with all of my heart and I can't wait until San Antonio!!!

Hi family,
I talked to a soon to be attendee Ms Khendyl Gamble, daughter of Shelia G to the family reunion.. She is planning to attend the reunion in Washington DC in 2015. Alton Felts, her brother plans to attend as well. He hasn't been since he was a young child with his mother Shelia. The clan here is excited about the upcoming reunion and get to be re-introduced to others. I failed to take pictures in Las Vegas this year, but look forward to somebody uploading theirs for viewing.
Please family, stay in prayer for our loved ones who have transitioned in the last two years. We are still grieving and missing them. SEE you in our nations capitol 2015.

We are a peculiar people set a side for God's purpose. I look forward to more involvement from our young people. I'm in the quardian group of the WHEW and look forward to our young men and women to step up and join us at the next family reunion. We have a lot of our matriarchs and patriarchs leaving us and going back home. We have to keep this great legacy going and embrace it. I will continue to notify my immmediate family of our rich, knowledgeable and resourceful WHEW family. All ideas  and suggestions please forward to Patrick Gaydon, President for review and possible implementation. We as a family have a Plethora of talent still unknown by others. Let's share and encourage by stepping out with boldness to spotlight that talent. This is a challenge for all our young people from 3-100 years of age. Get ready for the next year reunion. I am encouraged.  Blanche

Hey Family, it's getting closer to that time when we will all be together again in Las Vegas. I know and you all will  agree that there is no family like our WHEW family. I am so proud of how we keep our love as a family strong and sincere. Through the years and through our children we have proven it takes a village(WHEW Family) to raise a child. I have seen how the WHEW babies have grown to become successful adults and making significant differences in our society. Our closeness as family has provided the strength for our offspring to forge ahead in this harsh world and become triumphant. Hat's off to all of WHEW family for a job well done!   I Love You Guys Bill

A few days ago, I got a call from my cousin Robin Lesure. After talking for a while we broached the topic of reunions and she informed me of the Ellingtons (part of the WHEW family group)  annual reunions.  I was stunned to learn this and went searching to find out more about  the Ellingtons. I stumbled upon your very informative website and was Mother passed on as of 2012 but she was Thelma Corene (Colvert) Caison, New York.  She married Carl Hamilton Caison Sr  She was the first born child to James Lewis Colvert Sr and Gertha Lee Ellington.  You have listed all of her brothers and sisters with the exception of James Lewis Clovert Jr., he was the first born male and second child of James and Gertha Lee in Tuskegee, AL.  Almost all James' and Gertha Lee's children with the exception of John Colvert   are now deceased  including my mother as follows: (Mom) Thelma C. Colvert, Uncle James L. Colvert Jr. (Uncle Bubba), Aunt Arcelia Colvert, Aunt Trphenia Colvert Stephens, Uncle Elvert Colvert, Aunt Lorraine Colvert Whitlow.
What a journey your website took me on!

Though it is time to pass the torch I want to say that the path you two have paved will be one easliy followed due to your dedication  and supreme devotion to family. You\'ve set the bar quite high in that the next to follow will be well prepared to shoulder the responsibities you two have cared for far to long. As a "late bloomer" I\'m proud to have witnessed such obilging courage you two have shown in your efforts to present all aspects of this family in a possitive light. I thank you and our youth thanks you. God bless you both!

Margo,
During my short course of attenedance I recognized your heart-felt efforts to elevate the minds of our youth, not to a new heightened mindset, but to the level of consciousness that had given our ancestry the strength / courage to overcome all atrocities placed in their way. As I watched elder/peers gleam with such renewed faith; knowing that the message is amongst us. To you(both) Thank You could never be enough!

Hello Family,

It does my heart good to know that another reunion is near. And that I\'m an inticate fiber in this American fruit bowl per birthright. In doing my homework I found that every individual, in this family, is contributing in its mainstay in history.....be it locally, scholastically, or as a humanitarian at-large. All of us, as a whole, shall and will always perservere historically with the good Lords blessings.  So say we al! Ha Ha Ha HA See ya soon!

Well it is almost that time again.  I always look at the ticker to see how months and days we have left.  The ticker is a fabulous asset.  My family and I are looking forward in seeing each and every one of you down in Panama City this year.  If you are able to please come.  Again, hope to see you in the great state of Florida.

We were all of an unified mindset. I look forward to Destin, Fl in 2010.

The website continues to grow and be a great representation of the love within your family.  I thoroughly enjoyed myself at the W.H.E.W. reunion my husband and I attended and was impressed at the level of organization and detail so evident throughout the weekend.  This sight has inspired me to headup a web development project for our annual family reunion in Texas.  I look forward to the next W.H.E.W. experience.  Thanks and keep up the great work!  Love Meka & Mario

Hi Mannie and Margo, Great job on the website and reunion in Mt. Pleasant. It was truly First Class. I miss you all from the last three reunions. Hope this website encourages my children to come next year in Tuskegee, Al for our thirtieth reunion. You know there are some families that don't have reunions at all. What a shame. I'm bless to have a full and proud family that encourages knowledge and the pursuit of it. I will be bragging about your (our) professional website. You did a great job. See you in Tuskegee 2007 Love 'ya Blanche
